Veterans like myself have spent so many years of our lives doing what we do best, which is a service to this country. When we are injured, killed, retired or just leave, our stories become that and we simply fade away. Our brothers and sisters feel the connection we have together, yet the general public is truly unaware of the experiences, fun times, bad times and what we learn, as means of adapting to the stressors that make who we are afterwards. I want to share this and to learn from each other, maybe even to inspire each other and just talk about some of these experiences.

I appreciate everything that veterans have done. I remember one day at the VA, I watched a large number of homeless veterans come in and that really hit me.
